Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager (Exhibitions)
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager (Exhibitions) in Bangkok. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the organization and execution of exhibitions and events, managing logistics, expediting and inspecting project progress, and ensuring successful project delivery. The Project Manager will be required to work effectively with cross-functional teams, maintaining communication, and ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed.
Budget and Project Management
- Set up, control, and regularly monitor the budget to ensure the planned budget is on track
- Meeting and coordinating with partners for all issues to make sure projects are on track
- Coordinating with cross-discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules
- Submitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standards
- Working closely with Global team in Europe on sales, marketing, operations, and conference issues
- Preparing the status reports by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant information
- Provide on-going recommendations to the visitor campaign that will deliver exhibitor benefits
- Work with marketing to organize promotion activities, ensuring they are carried out efficiently and within agreed budgets, including presence at other events
- Liaise with accounts to ensure when working on the project budgeting and closing
- Ensuring critical event functions are informed of event timelines and key event initiatives to maximize their effectiveness across each event cycle. Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution
Sales Management
- Managing and executing the Sales Process
- Recommend and implement commercial sales and marketing initiatives to promote the events and conferences to potential and existing exhibitors (nationally and internationally)
- Maximize sponsorship sales from existing clients
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline document with accurate forecasting, reporting to management on sales activity and sales results
Team Management
- Coach, train and support team members in their development and delivery of Project
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in project management (exhibition and event is a plus)
- Strong financial acumen
- Excellent project management, planning and organizational skills
- The ability to build strong and trusting relationships and to foster collaborations across a diverse group of stakeholders/passion for networking and community building
- Excellent written and oral communication skills both English and Thai
- Flexible on working in different time zones and able to travel on short notice
- Computer literate – PC skills, especially Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
Senior Sales Executive / Sales Manager (IT Event - Conference and Exhibition)
Job Description
- Lead all sales activities for our IT conference and exhibition, aligning with the sales and marketing plan to exceed revenue and target goals for the assigned territory
- Manage and execute the entire sales process: from building a database, cold calling, identifying, and following up with leads, to closing deals and reporting progress
- Develop and implement strategic sales and marketing initiatives to promote the event to potential and existing exhibitors, both locally and internationally
- Maximize sponsorship sales from existing clients while securing new partnerships
- Maintain an up-to-date pipeline with accurate forecasting and report on sales activity and results to management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with industry associations and key influencers
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to: promoting the event brand, securing new business, maximizing revenue for assigned projects, and assisting the Project Manager with related tasks
- Maintain regular communication with partners and industry associations to stay updated on emerging trends
- Analyze competitor events and develop strategies to enhance our event’s value proposition
- Report directly to the Project Manager
Requirements
- Fluent in both written and spoken English (essential)
- Knowledge of the IT industry is a strong advantage
- Proven track record in sales, with a focus on new business development and a hunter mindset
- For Senior Sales Executive: 3-5 years of sales experience (experience in events or the MICE industry is a plus)
- For Sales Manager: Minimum 5 years of sales experience in events or the MICE industry
- Strong desire to learn, innovate and challenge the status quo
- Ability to work effectively in an international, culturally diverse team
- Exceptional multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks under pressure
